Life in BB

Our leaders

Our Boys’ Brigade company is run by a dedicated team of volunteer leaders who give their time each week to support and encourage our members. All leaders are DBS-checked and receive training through Boys’ Brigade to make sure activities are safe, fun, and age-appropriate.

We follow clear safeguarding policies to ensure every child and young person feels safe, valued, and supported while taking part in BB. Parents and carers are always welcome to talk with us if they have any questions or concerns.

FAQs

What does Boys’ Brigade actually do?

We provide weekly opportunities for children and young people to “learn, grow and discover” through fun, age-appropriate activities – including games, crafts, music, badges, camps, and more – all rooted in Christian values.

Do we need to sign up before coming along?

No – children are welcome to come along for a free taster night first. Parents/carers can stay for a chat with leaders if they’d like.

Does my child need to be religious?

No – we welcome everyone, regardless of background or belief. Our programme is rooted in Christian values but open to all.

Do they need to wear a uniform straight away?

Not at all. Children can come in normal comfy clothes for their first few weeks. Uniform can be arranged once they’ve settled in.

Ready to try BB?

Come and try Boys’ Brigade for yourself! Your child is welcome to join us for a free taster night – no need to sign up in advance. Parents and carers are encouraged to stay for a chat with our leaders and see what we’re all about.
